Το καλοκαίρι του 1997 ετέθη ο θεμέλιος λίθος στο μικρό εκκλησάκι των ταξιαρχών στην είσοδο του χωριού, στις ομιλίες ο δεσπότης είπε ότι το χωριό μας έχει τις πιο πολλές εκκλησιές και προσκυνητάρια από κάθε άλλο χωριό στην Λακωνία. Δεν ξέρω εάν είναι αλήθεια η ότι είμαστε πιο θρήσκοι από τους κατοίκους των άλλων χωριών αλλά είναι γεγονός ότι έχουμε πολλές εκκλησίες και προσκυνητάρια. The foundation stone of the small church of “Taxiarhon” near the entry of our village was laid during the summer of 1997. During the speeches the Bishop mentioned that our village had more churches and shrines than any of the other Lakonian villages. I do not know if it’s true or because the Karyates are more religious than people of the otherLakonians but it is a fact that we have a lot of churches and shrines.
