Two hours before noon the alarm of disaster and devastation sounded. About 150 Germans entered the village; they first ate, then ransacked the houses and then devoted themselves to the burning of village. The first day they blew the western corner of the school, while the second day along with all the other distraction they blew up the clock in the village.
The results of this disastrous two days were 20 people dead and 300 houses burned.
