Very succesful panygiri festival in Karyes

Karyes experienced a wonderful and packed two days of festivities during the annual panygiri.















The weather was kind and not extremely hot making the festivities even more enjoyable.














The events were attended by people from the whole of lakonia and Arkadia as well as compatriots from abroad ( Australia, Canada, USA).












The younger generations continued the partying throught the daylight hours of the next day untill exhaustion set in.

Η " SINFONIETTA" Αθηνών στίς Καρυές

Με ήχους και νότες του Μάνου Χατζιδάκι πλημμύρησε χθες το βράδυ η κοινότητα Καρυών. Η «SINFONIETTA» Αθηνών, για πρώτη φορά στη Λακωνία παρουσίασε ένα εκπληκτικό αφιέρωμα στο Μάνο Χατζιδάκι.
Αρχικά ο πρόεδρος της Κοινότητας Καρυών απεύθυνε έναν χαιρετισμό στους παραβρισκόμενους, ευχαρίστησε την ορχήστρα και μίλησε με ωραία λόγια για το Μάνο Χατζιδάκι.




Στην συνέχεια τον λόγο πήρε και ευχαρίστησε τον πρόεδρο της Κοινότητας Καρυών, τον πρόεδρο του Πολιτιστικού Συλλόγου και το κοινό ο μαέστρος Γιώργος Αραβίδης.
Η βραδιά συνεχίστηκε με μουσικές και τραγούδια του Μάνου Χατζιδάκι που ερμήνευσε εκπληκτικά η Λίλιαν Τσατσαρώνη. Συγκινητική ήταν και η συμμετοχή του κόσμου σε πολλά από τα τραγούδια που ακούστηκαν.




Του χρόνου το καλοκαίρι η «SINFONIETTA» Αθηνών θα παρουσιάσει στον ίδιο χώρο ένα αφιέρωμα στον άλλον μεγάλο συνθέτη της χώρας μας, Μίκη Θεοδωράκη.
Την χθεσινή εκδήλωση διοργάνωσε ο Πολιτιστικός Σύλλογος με την στήριξη και συνεργασία της Κοινότητας Καρυών. Την συναυλία - αφιέρωμα, εκτός από τους κατοίκους της κοινότητας παρακολούθησαν πολλοί λάκωνες αλλά και αρκάδες που ήρθαν ειδικά για την εκδήλωση.




Επίσης από την Αθήνα ήρθαν για την συναυλία η μητέρα και ο αδελφός της ερμηνεύτριας, Λίλιαν Τσατσαρώνη. Την ηχητική κάλυψη της βραδιάς είχε το studio ηχογραφήσεων Κυριαζής.

The Community of Karyes was flooded with the sounds and notes of Manos Hatzidakis last night. The “ Sinfonieta” of Athens for the first time came to Lakonia and in Karyes and presented an extraordinary presentation of Manos Hatzidakis works.
In his opening presentation speach the president of the community of karyes Mr. Theodoros Stathakis greeted those present, thanked the orchestra and praised the work of Manos Hatzidakis.

In the folow up speach the Maestro of the orchestra Mr. Giorgos Aravidis thanked the president of the Karyes community and the president of the Cultural Association of Karyes.
The night continued with the music and songs of Manos Hatzidakis with the wonderful presentation of the singer Ms. Lilian Tsaronis. It was very emotional when a large part of the croud joined in a large number of the songs presented.

For the next years summer season the “Sinfonietta” Athinon will again visit Karyes and present songs and Music to the other great Greek Composer Mikis Theodorakis.

Yesterday's presentation was organised by the Cultural association of Karyes with the support of the Karyes Community. The concert was attended apart from the residents of karyes by a large number of Laconians and Arcadians that came especialy for this presentation.
The concert was also attended by the mother and Brother of the singer Ms Lilian Tsatsaroni. The Acoustics and Sound control of the presentation was organised by the “Kyriazis Studios”
